You are cordially invited to
the ceremony of Verizon (Groom) and Jelly Bean (Wife) for it will be the day
where a momentous occasion will take place. Verizon has finally joined the
ranks of Sprint, T-Mobile and AT&T as they are updating their Galaxy S III
to Jelly Bean the operating software we've been raving about all semester.
Updates such as Google Now which as we said previously will go toe to toe with
Siri, will be find tomorrow on Big Red's network. What took so long? Many
speculate Big Red (Verizon) wanted to waited it out and make sure that all of
its consumers experience something that was tried on other networks before
making the update available for download to its own consumers.
Funny how most of Apple consumers
enjoy updates to their software simultaneously regardless of carriers, perhaps
Google can learn from them when delivering software updates, for it is the only
benefit that its lacking; speedy arrival.
In addition here is a tidbit
from Engadget.com a source that has confirmed the update "Verizon's support page claims that the new upgrade is only 62MB in total
size. This seems to be quite hard to believe, given the fact that Jelly Bean on
other Galaxy S III variants has ranged in size from 275MB (Sprint) to 740MB (AT&T), but perhaps Big Red cooked
up a little extra magic to make the long wait even more worthwhile." It
helps to know this as memory is a big concern in the smartphone department and
updates can considerably alter the memory that the phone has.
