The Nexus 4 is here and it could truly pose a
challenge for the Galaxy S III if you take away the 4G LTE that only the latter
has. Both phones run on Android but one is still running Android 4.0 Ice Cream
while the Nexus 4 is running the latest version Android 4.2 which is only
available to newer Android devices. It is bothersome to see that Android does
not simultaneously deliver updates to all of its phones just like Apple has
done in the past. Now that I would say is perhaps what is holding the company
back from being recognized. Consumers in 2012 hate to wait, practically in any
particular space of time they do, but primarily now when technology is so
advanced, why can’t they just simultaneously update their devices? Off-Topic I
know but still interesting to tackle.
If you want a solid device that is fast and has the
latest version of Android but don’t care about LTE, you might certainly want an
LG Nexus 4.
If you want more storage space and 4G LTE (in select
markets) then you might want to consider the Samsung Galaxy S3. What is great
about Android devices is that there is a wide variety out there, which makes it
easy to find something tailored directly to what you are looking for. Which do
you prefer, the Galaxy S3 or the new LG Nexus 4?
If price is a factor, the LG Nexus 16GB might also
be worth looking at since it is only $350 unlocked, versus $600 for an unlocked
Galaxy S3. If you want a contract, there are sometimes some pretty good deals
for the Galaxy S3 with a two-year commitment, though.
