We clearly know that Samsung's Galaxy S III is the flagship Android device and with the iPhone 5 recently rolled out of the Apple assembly line Google and Samsung have partnered up to take on Siri, Apple's intelligent professional assistance and knowledge navigator. With Google Now, which is Google's attempt at a more responsive intelligent professional assistance but for that the Galaxy S III needs to be upgraded from its current operating system of Android 4.0 (Ice Cream) to Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) these names may seem a little confusing to the technologically challenge but in essence it means a virtual upgrade to the entire operating system comparable to Apple's iOS upgrades posted all over informative technologically advanced blogs like Engadget.com.
The update according to engadget.com "The long-awaited roll-out appears to have commenced, with lucky GS III owners in Poland being among the first to get an early official taste of Android 4.1.1. If you hadn't heard, the update will bring a host of subtle yet powerful improvements, including Google Now for anticipating search queries, smooth UI improvements from Project Butter, as well as some Samsung extras already seen on the Galaxy Note II, such as a resizable Pop-up play screen. Hopefully this means the update will soon be sent on its merry way to GS IIIs in other parts of the Old World, and maybe at some point -- dare we suggest it -- those in the US too."
We can expect that this update will significantly improve Samsung's market share within the mobile device industry now that this device is "designed for humans" according to Samsung's Galaxy S III slogan. Below is a demonstration of the Google Now capability maybe you'll be making the switch, it'll sure make your life that much easier.
Google Now the Next Frontier!
